His technique is impressive; he rarely finds himself on the ground, exhibits exceptional pad level with a solid knee bend, and maintains a natural wide base that anchors him during play.
One of his standout characteristics is his impressive motor. Murphy holds blocks until the whistle blows and displays tenacity on every rep. His performance at the NCAA camp at Sacred Heart University this past summer highlighted his growth; measured at 6’2″ and 266 pounds with a 5.83-second 40-yard dash, he has since grown in height to 6’4 and weight to 270 pounds, while further increasing his speed and agility that is showcased in his latest 2025 season highlight film.
