Connecticut Show Day: “Loomis Chaffee” Standouts, Eye Test, Skill Notes

SNE was present at every New England Showday event throughout the circuit tour, which began on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Connecticut and wrapped up on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Massachusetts. Over 150 college coaches from different states visited the area to evaluate emerging high school football talent for possible recruitment into their programs. In this report, I will highlight several players from Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut that I knew and was able to observe in person, as well as others who impressed me during the live evaluation event.


Player Performance Report:
Jeremiah Robinson showcased excellent athleticism and skill at the high school football Evaluation Showcase held at Loomis Chaffee School on May 11, 2026. Standing at 6’0″ and 160 lbs, Robinson demonstrated remarkable fluidity in his route-running, effortlessly getting into and out of breaks that highlighted his experience and understanding of the route tree. His agility allows him to create separation and adjust quickly to the defense.
On both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and defensive back, his ball skills were evident, consistently making contested catches and displaying reliable hands. College coaches took note of his versatility and potential, indicating that he could make an impact at the next level. Overall, Robinson’s performance confirms his status as an elite prospect in New England football, making him one to watch as he continues his development.


Player Performance Report:
At the May 11, 2026 Evaluation Showcase at Loomis Chaffee School, Adam Alami showcased impressive skills that solidify his status as one of the top prospects in Connecticut’s Class of 2028. Standing at 6’7″ and weighing 300 pounds, Adam possesses a large frame that is both commanding and athletic. His movement is fluid for a player of his size, demonstrating agility and decent quickness not typically seen in linemen.
During drills, Adam appears to have the ability to pull with his fluid motion and good pad level, showcasing his versatility as both an offensive and defensive lineman. His fundamental technique and powerful blocking abilities stood out against his peers. With consistent development and the right coaching, Adam has the potential to be a dominant force in New England football. College coaches should keep a close eye on this rising star!

At the Evaluation Showcase on May 11, 2026, Brandon McCloud Jr. showcased impressive potential, transitioning from being a basketball athlete to football seamlessly. Standing at 6’4″ and weighing 240 lbs, his size and athleticism were immediately apparent. During drills, McCloud demonstrated soft hands, consistently high-pointing the ball with ease, even amid traffic. His ability to stretch the field vertically made him a noticeable threat, particularly following receptions, where he displayed agility and speed.
Coaches were impressed with his work ethic and attitude, leading to a verbal offer from Boston College after the event. As he continues to refine his football skills, McCloud’s blend of size, speed, and catch ability positions him as a promising prospect for the upcoming season and beyond. Standing at 6’6″ and weighing 208 lbs, his long limbs and soft hands make him a standout target. Flint demonstrated a quick release from the line of scrimmage and showcased the agility to elude defenders in both drills and one-on-one matchups. His athleticism was evident as he regularly found separation and made acrobatic catches. This performance caught the eyes of college coaches, earning him verbal offers from both Maine and Central Connecticut. Flint’s combination of size, skill, and finesse positions him as a promising prospect for the 2027 class.

With further physical development and refinement of his skills, Trae Ford is on a promising trajectory toward a successful collegiate career.

At the recent high school football Evaluation Showcase held at Loomis Chaffee, Zachary Harrison stood out as one of the top performers. Measuring 6’0″ and weighing 165 pounds, this dual-threat WR/DB showcased his versatility and athleticism impressively. During drills, Harrison exhibited good fluidity, seamlessly transitioning between routes with grace and precision. His hands were consistently reliable, as he secure numerous catches in drill period, demonstrating both focus and skill. Additionally, his quickness was evident. Coaches in attendance took note of his potential, and he undoubtedly left a positive impression. With continued development, Harrison is poised to make significant strides as a valuable asset to any collegiate program going forward.


HONORABLE MENTION:

I was unable to view Alijah’s performance. Alijah earned an opportunity of financial support from Denison after the showcase.
