Massachusetts Show Day: “Williston North Hampton” Standouts, Eye Test, Skill Notes.

SNE was present at every New England Showday event throughout the circuit tour, which began on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Connecticut and wrapped up on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Massachusetts. Over 150 college coaches from different states visited the area to evaluate emerging high school football talent for possible recruitment into their programs. In this report, I will highlight several players from Williston North Hampton in Massachusetts that I knew and was able to observe in person, as well as others who impressed me during the live evaluation event.

At the Williston Northampton Evaluation Showcase, Zay Angeles (DB, ’27) quickly established himself as a premier standout in the secondary. Measuring 5’10” and 180 lbs, the Wisconsin native possesses a sturdy, athletic frame that passed the initial eye test, catching the attention of the college coaches in attendance. Once the action started, Angeles’s elite movement traits were on full display. He possesses exceptional speed and twitchy quickness.  He moved with incredible fluidity during the agility and drill periods, showcasing loose hips that enable seamless transitions. Furthermore, Angeles flashed very good hands and natural ball skills during the drill segments. His blend of explosive athleticism and technical refinement makes him a high-value defensive back prospect to monitor closely in the 2027 class.


At the Williston Northampton Evaluation Showcase, Eric Jefferys (ATH, ’29) emerged as an absolute standout underclassman. Measuring 5’10” and 175 lbs, the Rhode Island native easily passed the physical eye test, showcasing a well-built, athletic frame. During the live evaluation segments, Jefferys put his elite versatility on display. He flashed exceptional pure speed and sudden quickness, changing direction effortlessly with an explosive second gear burst. His natural athleticism was further highlighted by very soft hands and advanced ball skills during the drills. Showing a high-level ceiling as a dynamic playmaker who can impact both sides of the ball, Jefferys proved he is a high-priority 2029 prospect that recruiting coordinators will lock onto early. He received a verbal offer from the University of Rhode Island coaches who were present at the showcase.

At the Williston Northampton Evaluation Showcase, Khyren Jones (TE/DL, ’28) was a premier standout who instantly crushed the initial eye test. Measuring a towering 6’5″ and 260 lbs, the Connecticut product possesses a rare, elite frame for a sophomore that immediately drew a crowd of college coaches before drills even started. Jones displayed athletic traits rarely seen in a tight end. He moved with incredibly light, nimble feet and flashed an explosive burst paired with overall speed and quickness. Furthermore, he demonstrated surprisingly soft, natural hands during passing drills. Jones’s terrifying blend of prototype size, sudden twitch, and fluid movement cements him as a high-priority, national-level recruit in the 2028 class. He received a verbal offer from Yale coaches who were present at the showcase.


At the Williston Northampton Evaluation Showcase, Ben Taglianetti (OL, ’27) was a premier standout who completely crushed the initial eye test. Measuring a massive 6’3″ and 300 lbs, the Rhode Island product possesses a dominant, college-ready physical frame that immediately put college coaches on high alert before the whistle blew. Once the live evaluation period began, Taglianetti demonstrated that his technical proficiency matches his elite size. He displayed a rock-solid knee bend and exceptionally nimble feet for a lineman of his stature, allowing him to mirror and slide effortlessly. What truly separated him was his sheer dominance during the positional drill period, where he was remarkably physical at the point of attack. Taglianetti’s rare blend of prototype frame, functional flexibility, and aggressive power firmly cements him as a high-priority 2027 offensive line recruit. He received a verbal offer from the Navy and Richmond coaches who were present at the showcase.


At the Williston Northampton Evaluation Showcase, Dan Rondeau (OL, ’27) was a dominant force who completely crushed the initial eye test. Measuring a towering 6’7″ and 310 lbs, the Massachusetts product possesses a massive, prototype frame that immediately put college coaches on high alert before a single whistle blew. Once the live evaluation period began, Rondeau proved his functional athleticism matches his elite size. For a lineman of his massive stature, he displayed impressively light and nimble feet, allowing him to mirror defenders effectively. Furthermore, he flashed a great natural knee bend, showing he can play low, maintain leverage, and win the battle at the point of attack. Rondeau’s rare combination of massive frame and fluid flexibility cements him as a high-priority offensive line recruit to watch closely in the 2027 class. He received a slew of verbal offers from Elon, Stonehill, Mercyhurst, Stony Brook, Maine, and UNH coaches who were present at the showcase.
