SNE was present at every New England Showday event throughout the circuit tour, which began on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Connecticut and wrapped up on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Massachusetts. Over 150 college coaches from different states visited the area to evaluate emerging high school football talent for possible recruitment into their programs. The Avon Old Farm program had many talented prospects participating in the showcase. In this report, I will highlight five players with a short analysis from that caught my attention during the live evaluation event and list the players who earned verbal offers after the event concluded.

Player Performance Report: At the Evaluation Showcase held at Avon Old Farms on May 11, 2026, Jack Fonte showcased his impressive skill set, solidifying his reputation as a top prospect. His eye-catching triple broad jump highlighted his explosive athleticism. During drills, Fonte demonstrated excellent route-running ability, effectively sinking his hips to create separation from defenders. His tall, lean frame and long arms enhance his catch radius, making him a formidable target. With a keen understanding of leverage and space, he repeatedly found ways to exploit defenses. His performance attracted attention, earning him a verbal offer from Army. Overall, Fonte’s blend of size, speed, and technical proficiency positions him as a high-impact player in the coming seasons.
Player Performance Report: Andre Perkins showcased elite potential at the Avon Old Farms showcase, standing 6’1″ and weighing 210 lbs. His impressive size and physical presence translate well to his dual role as a running back and defensive lineman. Perkins demonstrated exceptional durability in his frame that traslates particularly in short-yardage situations. His running style, is characterized by good lean and balance. Fluid athleticism was evident, showcasing his quick footwork and explosive first step during drills. With verbal offers from Boston College, Syracuse, and Bowling Green already on the table, Perkins solidified his status as a top prospect. College coaches in attendance were particularly impressed his size and frame, further enhancing his appeal for future recruitment. He earned a verbal offer from Bowling Green after the event concluded.

Standing at 6’3″ with long arms and legs, he caught the eye of attending college coaches. As a mid-year transfer from Woodbury Forest, VA, Dermont displayed exceptional burst off the line and explosiveness in his routes. His ability to sink his hips when changing direction was particularly noteworthy, allowing him to create separation effectively. Overall, Dermont’s combination of size, agility, and route-running ability positions him as a promising prospect for the fall 2026 season at Avon Old Farms and beyond. He’s certainly a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.

Standing 6’1″ and weighing 170 lbs, Garfinkel displayed a quick release that can allow him to get the ball out efficiently under pressure. Recently winning the 2026 Elite 11 Accuracy Challenge, his performance affirmed his status as a rising talent. Throughout the event, he demonstrated excellent ball placement, consistently hitting targets with precision. With a solid foundation rooted in his family background, as his father works in the NFL, Miller’s football IQ is evident. While he is still developing, his combination of skills and competitive spirit make him a player to watch in the coming years. College coaches should closely monitor his progress.

Player Performance Report: During the May 11, 2026 Evaluation Showcase at Avon Old Farms, Will Trinter made a significant impression with his standout performance. At 6’5″ and 230 lbs, his long and lean frame immediately caught the attention of college coaches. Trinter’s quick footwork and fluid athleticism were evident and confirmed his ability to transition seamlessly between his roles as an Edge, TE, and /or inside DL. He exhibited impressive agility and balance, maneuvering around obstacles with ease, showcasing his potential for both offensive and defensive roles. His frame consistently stood out, especially during one-on-one drills, where he demonstrated effective hand placement and the ability to create separation. As Trinter prepares to transfer from South Bend St. Joseph High School to Avon Old Farms, his skill set and athleticism position him as a promising prospect to follow closely in the future.
