Turn Every Week of Your 2026 Season Into a Recruiting Opportunity

For high school football players, your game film is a crucial asset in the recruiting process. However, there’s no need to wait until the season concludes to start sharing it. Each week offers a fresh chance to showcase your growth and performance against live competition to college coaches.

Post Your Best Weekly Game Clips

After each 2026 season game, consider selecting a few clips that best demonstrate your abilities at your position. Share those clips on X/Twitter with your:

• Full name
• Graduation year
• Position
• Height and weight
• High school
• Game or opponent
• Hudl link, if available

Choose meaningful plays that help coaches evaluate you. Depending on your position, that could include athletic ability, technique, physicality, decision-making, effort, versatility, or special-teams contributions.

Consistently posting your best weekly clips can help you build visibility throughout the season. College coaches travel to games during the fall and regularly use social media to view prospects they have heard about, recently evaluated, or discovered through trusted recruiting sources.

Players who share film during the season may create opportunities to be noticed earlier. Those who wait until the season is over could miss valuable weeks when coaches are actively evaluating prospects and looking for new names.

Create a Midseason Highlight Film

At approximately the halfway point of your schedule, organize your best early-season plays into a short midseason highlight film.

Your opening clips should feature some of your strongest and most position-relevant plays. Make it easy for coaches to identify you by using a clear spot shadow or indicator before each play.

A midseason highlight film gives college coaches an updated evaluation tool while your season is still underway. It can also demonstrate the progress you have made since your previous film was released.

Create a Complete 2026 Season Highlight Film

Once your season ends, produce a full-season highlight film featuring your strongest performances from the entire year.

This film should be organized, concise, easy to evaluate, and led by your best plays. Your full-season film becomes an important part of your recruiting résumé and can be shared with college coaches throughout the winter, spring and summer evaluation periods.

Important Guidance for Seniors

If a college coach asks you for a three-game highlight or evaluation film, make that request a priority.

Senior recruiting timelines can move quickly. Select three games that provide coaches with a strong and complete evaluation of your abilities. Whenever possible, follow the coach’s instructions regarding whether they want individual clips, full-game film, or one combined three-game highlight.

Do not assume that a standard season highlight will replace exactly what the coach requested.

Tag Scouting New England

SNE Recruiting Analysts will be reviewing Hudl game film throughout the 2026 season to identify and promote New England’s top-performing prospects to the SNE College Coaches Network.

When you post your weekly clips, midseason film, or full-season highlights on X, tag @scoutingne so our staff can find and review them. Film that earns recognition from our analysts may be shared through SNE’s platforms and brought to the attention of college coaches in our network.

Following these recommendations does not guarantee recruitment or an offer. It does, however, give you a better opportunity to place updated film in front of evaluators sooner rather than later.

Your film cannot help you if coaches cannot find it!!!!!!

Play. Review. Post. Update. Repeat.
