SNE attended each New England Showday event throughout the circuit tour, starting on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Connecticut and concluding on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in Massachusetts. More than 150 college coaches from various states visited the region to assess promising high school football talent for potential recruitment into their programs. In this report, I will emphasize the underclassmen players I focused on, at the Worcester Academy Showcase providing a brief analysis of those who stood out during the live evaluation event, as well as list the players who received verbal offers after the event ended.
Massachusetts Show Day: “Worcester Academy” Standouts, Offers, Skill Notes
At the Worcester Academy Evaluation Showcase, Ty Marcil (RB/LB, ’27) completely dominated the initial eye test. Measuring 6’2″ and 220 lbs, the Massachusetts standout carries a powerhouse, college-ready frame that immediately captured the attention of college coaches before the showcase even started. During the live evaluation, Marcil’s translation of raw power into fluid athleticism was the storyline of the day. He displayed excellent running mechanics and moved with exceptional fluidity through every agility phase, flashing an explosive blend of natural speed and physical strength. His performance directly translated to recruiting results: entering the showcase with zero offers, Marcil picked up his first two Division 1 offers on-site from Sacred Heart and Albany. Marcil firmly established himself as a high-priority regional prospect whose stock is officially rising.
At the Worcester Academy Evaluation Showcase, Colton Francis (WR/DB, ’27) immediately passed the eye test. Measuring at 6’2″ and 195 lbs, the Massachusetts native carries a well-proportioned frame that looks college-ready. Holding three Division 1 offers entering the event, Francis backed up his reputation during skill drills and routes on air. His refined footwork, fluid athleticism, and highly reliable hands easily popped. He played with immense confidence, showcasing an elite technical skill set as a route runner who breaks in and out of his turning points with exceptional fluidity. While he hasn’t added to his offer sheet as of date 5/14/26, his dominant performance confirms he remains a premier, high-priority target in the 2027 class.

Worcester Academy
At the Worcester Academy Evaluation Showcase, underclassman Travis Bowen (OL/DL, ’29) completely dominated the initial eye test. Measuring a massive 6’5″ and 270 lbs as a rising freshman, the Massachusetts product possesses an advanced frame that instantly drew a crowd of college coaches before drills even began. He demonstrated a solid base and a good natural knee bend, allowing him to stay low and play with leverage. Throughout the position-specific drills, Bowen consistently flashed heavy-handed strength, explosive power, and good balance for a lineman of his size and age. His combination of prototype size, flexibility, and physical dominance establishes him as a must-see, high-priority prospect in the 2029 class.
Milford High School transferring to Worcester Academy Fall of 2026/Reclassifying to Class of 2030
At the Worcester Academy Evaluation Showcase, Damian Wheeler (OL/DL, ’30) absolutely dominated the initial eye test. Measuring an incredible 6’2″ and 285 lbs as a middle school prospect, the Massachusetts product possesses a physically advanced frame with a wide, solid base that immediately caught attention of college coaches on hand. Once the drill period began, Wheeler’s performance matched his imposing size. He demonstrated great natural knee bend and exceptional functional strength, allowing him to anchor and drive through blocks with ease. Furthermore, Wheeler displayed surprisingly nimble and active feet for a young lineman of his substantial stature. His rare combination of varsity-ready size, baseline flexibility, and lower-body power firmly establishes him as a high-upside prospect to monitor closely in the 2030 recruiting cycle.
