**Weekly Report: SNE New England Top Play of the Week – September 27, 2025**

Jake Attaway named New England Week 2 top QB performer for 2026. This past weekend, we witnessed an extraordinary display of talent from Antonio Bearden, a 6’2″, 180-pound athlete from La Salle Academy, who seized the spotlight with a jaw-dropping one-handed touchdown catch! During a fiercely competitive game, Antonio exhibited his exceptional athleticism and coordination by soaring above a defender, skillfully plucking the ball from the air with one hand, while falling back into the end zone. This acrobatic maneuver not only showcased his incredible hand-eye coordination but also reaffirmed his status as one of the exciting players to watch this season.

Currently a standout in both wide receiver and defensive back roles, Antonio has been lighting up the field throughout the early part of the season. His previously noted agility, speed, and natural pass-catching abilities continued to shine through in this standout performance. His commitment to both offense and defense has made him an invaluable asset for La Salle Academy. Coaches and scouts alike are taking notice, especially after his stellar performance at the Brown University summer camp where he earned a well-deserved offer.

With verbal commitments from Stonehill, URI, and Brown, the buzz surrounding Antonio is only growing, making him a prime candidate for additional offers as the season progresses. His incredible catch not only solidifies a memorable moment in 2025 but also firmly establishes him as a player to watch in the years to come! Keep your eyes on this rising star!  Congrats to Antonio on being selected as the SNE Top Play of the Week – 4 award.
