This week’s honor for the New England Region’s Top Play of the Week goes to Jabari Jackson, a standout junior defensive back and wide receiver from the Hawks. On October 31, 2025, in a thrilling matchup against Portsmouth High School, Jackson showcased his extraordinary athleticism and instinctive playmaking ability, leading his team through a remarkable comeback.
Trailing 15 points with just under five minutes remaining, the Hawks needed a spark, and Jackson was up to the challenge. Displaying his impressive short-area quickness and high-level coverage skills that have made him a star, he caught a crucial touchdown pass with just 4:27 left on the clock. But his pivotal moment came moments later. With only 19 seconds remaining, Jackson caught a second touchdown pass that helped the Hawks get a 20-17 overtime win.
Throughout the game, Jackson demonstrated his game-breaking speed, finishing with six catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns. His performance not only highlighted his remarkable skill set but also his tenacity to fight for each play—evidence of his competitive spirit that has earned him a well-deserved spot in the last season 2024 Providence Journal All-State Football Defense Selection.
