NEW NAMES FROM MASSACHUSETTS AND NEW HAMPSHIRE RISE UP

The names of five players have come to the attention of SNE scouts during the spring evaluation period. In this report, I will highlight five players who will be attending schools in Massachusetts or New Hampshire in the fall of 2026, and I will provide an analysis of their highlight films from the 2025 season based on my observations.

NEW NAME PROSPECTS FROM MASSACHUSETTS AND NEW HAMPSHIRE RISE UP

Scout’s Analysis: Curtin commanded heavy attention from Scouting New England scouts during the spring evaluation period ahead of his high-profile transfer to Belmont Hill for the Fall 2026 term. Possessing true FCS physical length at 6’6″, Curtin displays fluid lateral quickness and impressive pursuit speed. His 2025 film reveals an intelligent, high-IQ defender who plays with excellent pad level for his height. He is exceptionally disciplined on the backside edge, maintaining strict gap control while showcasing tracking of ball carriers both inside and outside the tackles.

Scout’s Analysis: Dorley emerged as an intriguing target for Scouting New England scouts during the spring evaluation window, ahead of his post-graduate season at Worcester Academy this fall. Moving from New Hampshire to the highly competitive NEPSAC class, Dorley brings prototypical frame length at 6’3″ and a clear identity of grit. His 2025 highlight film puts his natural toughness and physicality on full display. He excels at the point of attack, shedding blocks efficiently to stall run plays and secure tackles deep inside the trenches. Areas for Growth: To elevate his recruitment profile, Dorley must address his initial explosiveness. His tape reveals a need for sharper first-step quickness off the ball and a more consistent, lower pad level to avoid losing leverage against heavier interior linemen.
Recruiting Outlook:  Partnering with a proven defensive line speed coach and focusing on position-specific footwork this off-season will be vital for his development.

Scout’s Analysis: Rikkers commanded heavy attention from Scouting New England during the spring evaluation period ahead of his post-graduate season at Deerfield Academy. Possessing prototypical FCS length and mass, his 2025 film displays dominance at the line of scrimmage, routinely displacing defenders and putting them on their backs. He moves exceptionally well for his size, showcasing impressive footwork, balance, and pure physical toughness when climbing to second-level blocks. Areas for Growth: While his 2025 tape showed a need to refine his pass sets, his live performance at the Deerfield Academy showcase on May 12 proved he has already made major strides in person. He still needs to improve his initial first-step quickness out of his stance, along with maintaining a lower pad level and better knee bend when blocking in space.  Recruiting Outlook: Rikkers is a prospect with a high ceiling. Continuing specialized off-season positional training and adding flexibility routines like yoga will maximize his massive frame and unlock his full athletic potential.

Zannini completely dominated the spring combine circuit, lighting up the May 23 showcase with elite, laser-verified numbers: a blazing 4.28 pro agility, a top-tier 40-yard dash, and a 7.5 L-drill. While famous for his explosive, big-play threat in Salem’s Wing-T offense, his 2025 highlight film proves his “blazer” speed translates all over the field, showcasing multiple long-distance touchdowns on handoffs and kick returns. He is an exceptionally shifty, elusive runner with high-level field vision. Furthermore, his lockdown coverage skills and ball-hawking instincts allowed him to shine in 1-on-1 and 7-on-7 showcase drills. Areas for Growth: His primary limitations are height and weight. At 150 pounds, his frame will need significant development to withstand the physicality of collegiate football.
Recruiting Outlook:  A dedicated off-season strength program to add muscle mass, paired with specialized WR/DB training, will make his game-breaking speed undeniable to college programs during his post-grad year.

Scout’s Analysis: Steeven Many caught the attention of Scouting New England scouts during the spring evaluation period prior to his transfer to Phillips Exeter for the Fall 2026 season. His 2025 highlight film reveals a highly active, downhill linebacker who plays with exceptional instincts in the run game. Many exhibits a solid knee bend and efficient change-of-direction skills within the box. He triggers quickly against the run, frequently standing up interior blockers and knocking ball carriers backward upon impact. Areas for Growth: At 5’10”, height is the primary metric concern, making him slightly undersized for traditional inside linebacker prototypes. However, he heavily compensates for his frame with a high football IQ, reliable tackling mechanics, and a relentless pursuit motor on defense. Recruiting Outlook: Many projects as a productive target. Committing to an off-season speed and agility program with a proven trainer will enhance his sideline-to-sideline range, making his athletic toolkit undeniable to college scouts.
